Till the 1962 war, the inhabitants of the remote Darma valley didn’t even know they are a part of India. Trading with Tibet was the main source of livelihood and the culture and traditions still are an amazing amalgamation of Hinduism and Buddhism. Untouched meadows and roaring glacier streams give us company as we go till the base camp of the mighty Pancha chuli group of peaks. Amongst the best treks Indian Himalaya has to offer and a perfect opportunity for everyone to get a taste of its grand scale.
